2015 Nissan Rogue SUV Review a lot more conservative and even more modern
The very first thing you'll look at with this current generation of Nissan Rogue is the great styling. Gone are the wild grille treatments, restored by something far more conservative and significantly more contemporary. The front and rear of the crossover are both more fascinating and modern, and the overall look is one that feels less economical. The interior is well organized and finished in trendy, higher-quality materials.
Surely, the Rogue will likely be captivating if you're curious about comfort and available space. Interior surfaces are produce of good quality materials that look and feel particularly upscale, especially on upper trim levels. And as a bit of a rarity in the compact crossover segment, there's other seating for seven. The available third row is small, but in general, storage capacity is superior. There are specific cargo configurations, and with both rear rows folded down, the Rogue matches class leaders with 70 cubic feet of cargo space.
The 2015 Rogue is only offered with one engine: a 170-horsepower 2.5-liter 4-cylinder. That powerplant, in turn, only comes with one transmission: a continuously variable automatic. Fuel economy stands at 26 miles per gallon in the city and 33 mpg on the highway for the front-wheel-drive base model or 25 mpg city/32 mpg hwy with all-wheel drive.
One other thing that was a bit disappointing, however, was the driving range. With a not so big gas tank, the Rogue is only suited to about 300 miles at a time. On a long road trip this gets to be a critical burden, as maximizing your time on the road is vital.
