2015 Nissan Rogue SUV Review a lot more conservative and extra contemporary

The primary thing you'll find out with this current generation of Nissan Rogue is the astonishing styling. Gone are the wild grille treatments, substituted by something some more conservative and way more contemporary. The front and rear of the crossover are both more attractive and modern, and the overall look is one that feels less economical. The interior is best organized and finished in interesting, higher-quality materials.

Certainly, the Rogue will probably be alluring if you're excited about comfort and available space. Interior surfaces are produce of first-class materials that look and feel particularly upscale, specially on upper trim levels. And as a bit of a rarity in the compact crossover segment, there's additional seating for seven. The available third row is small, but taken as a whole, storage capacity is excellent. There are some cargo configurations, and with both rear rows folded down, the Rogue matches class leaders with 70 cubic feet of cargo space.

The 2015 Rogue is only available with one engine: a 170-horsepower 2.5-liter 4-cylinder. That powerplant, in turn, only has one transmission: a continuously variable automatic. Fuel economy stands at 26 miles per gallon in the city and 33 mpg on the highway for the front-wheel-drive base model or 25 mpg city/32 mpg hwy with all-wheel drive.

Something was fairly disappointing, however, was the driving range. With a modest gas tank, the Rogue is usually great for about 300 miles at a time. On a long road trip this becomes a critical inconvenience, as relishing your time on the road is critical.
