2016 Cadillac CTS-V Review 640 Horsepower Valued From $84k

Cadillac reported today that the most amazing road car in their history will go for sale this summer with a big base price improve greater than the old CTS-V, which ordinarily went between $70,000. With destination price the new car could be more than $84,000.

On $84,990, the CTS-V is definitely $4995 more than a base 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06. That seems like a steal for essentially the same supercharged 6.2-liter V-8 (despite creating 10 less horsepower), a performance-tuned eight-speed automatic transmission, two additional doors and a back seat, and an honest-to-goodness 200-mph top speed. Final fuel-economy numbers are not in yet, but we’ve already been informed by Cadillac that it predicts the V to keep clear of the gas-guzzler tax that nails M5 buyers with a $1300 tab.

A stiffer body structure, enriched suspension equipment and Cadillac's adaptive dampers guarantee more accurate handling and control to come with the CTS-V's newfound power. Brembo brakes and bespoke Michelin high-performance tires will be tasked with stopping it and sticking it to the road.

And the Cadillac is a lot better organized than its rivals straight out of the box with the help of its carbon fiber hood, 19-inch wheels surrounded with Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires, 20-way adjustable front seats that have heating and ventilation, camera monitoring, and suede and carbon fiber trim.

The new CTS-V is mainly two cars in one: a luxury sedan with stylish road manners and a track-capable sports car with awe-inspiring performance. These kind of car is exclusive, the domain of the few able to gain access to this level of extraordinary capability. V-Series align to or overtakes the finest cars in this heavy-weight class, while being more accessible.
