The recently overhauled 2015 GMC Sierra 1500 releases some of the greatest hauling and towing numbers of any light-duty full-size truck while returning far better fuel economy and performance. The 2015 GMC Sierra 1500 is a full-size pickup offered for sale in a number of cab/cargo-bed configurations in both two- and four-wheel drive. Body styles include typical cab, extended (double) cab and crew cab. Normal cabs can be had with either a 6.5-foot standard bed or an 8-foot bed. Extended cabs have the 6.5-foot standard bed, while crew cabs are for sale with either a 5.75-foot short bed or the 6.5-foot standard bed.

The 2015 GMC Sierra offers three engines: a 4.3-liter V6 which makes 285 horsepower and 305 lb-ft, a 5.3-liter V8 that will make 355 hp and 383 lb-ft, and a 6.2-liter V8 that renders 420 hp and 460 lb-ft. All Sierra models have a normal 6-speed automatic, though GM has hinted that an 8-speed could unveiling midyear for V8 powerplants.

According to the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, the Sierra 1500 acquired a decent rating in crash-test safety, together with a decent rating in the oh-so-difficult moderate front overlap crash examine. The National Highway Transportation Safety Administration rated the Sierra 1500 with a 5-star all in all rating, which include a 5-star rating for frontal and side crashes.
