2015 GMC Sierra 1500 review full-size pickup traded in a range of cab with excellent rating in crash-test safety

The recently overhauled 2015 GMC Sierra 1500 gives you some of the best hauling and towing numbers of any light-duty full-size truck while returning more beneficial fuel economy and performance. And it boasts sufficiently ports and connections to modify almost all the Sierra into a mobile workplace.

The 2015 GMC Sierra 1500 is a full-size pickup presented in many different cab/cargo-bed choices in both two- and four-wheel drive. Body versions include common cab, extended (double) cab and crew cab. Ordinary cabs are offered with either a 6.5-foot standard bed or an 8-foot bed. Extended cabs have the 6.5-foot standard bed, while crew cabs come available with either a 5.75-foot short bed or the 6.5-foot standard bed.

The 2015 GMC Sierra offers three engines: a 4.3-liter V6 which makes 285 horsepower and 305 lb-ft, a 5.3-liter V8 that renders 355 hp and 383 lb-ft, and a 6.2-liter V8 that produces 420 hp and 460 lb-ft. All Sierra models include an ordinary 6-speed automatic, though GM has hinted that an 8-speed may come out midyear for V8 powerplants.

As reported by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, the Sierra 1500 acquired a great rating in crash-test safety, which includes a very good rating in the oh-so-difficult moderate front overlap crash check. The National Highway Transportation Safety Administration regarded the Sierra 1500 with a 5-star general rating, which include a 5-star rating for frontal and side crashes. Rollover crashes were rated at a 4 stars.
