Mazda provides unlimited mileage warranty in Canada

Mazda provides unlimited mileage warranty in Canada

Winter season might be starting up to grab areas in Canada, even though our neighbors to the north will be able to drive their 2015 Mazda cars and utilities from Vancouver to Montreal with a little more satisfaction. That's because Mazda Canada is instituting an unlimited mileage warranty for the new models.

Mazda Motor Corp. gives an unlimited mileage warranty to clients who order or lease a car in Canada beginning with the 2015 model year, the automaker said today.

Mazda bestowed absolutely no clear explanation how come the warranty extension is only applicable for the Canadian market. Kory Koreeda, president of Mazda Canada Inc, said of the new warranty, "Mazda's target is on long-term customer happiness. By giving our consumers an Unlimited Mileage Warranty, we believe it can improve their ownership experience by relieving worries such as kilometre limitations, fix costs and resale value." It is challenging to debate with that logic, but why not the US market? Absolutely US Mazda sellers would prefer the added service work and sales this move may bring.

“Mazda is a company that constantly challenges traditional rules to make improvements. Driving enjoyment is essential to Mazda; it’s in our DNA, and every car we make. So featuring an alternate kind of warranty that doesn’t stop customers from enjoying their vehicle and driving as much, or as far, as they want is the right fit.”

The unlimited mileage warranty stated today by Mazda is unique in the industry. Hyundai and Kia offer a basic warranty lasting five years, a period well beyond the average, and Mitsubishi also provides a much more comprehensive 10-year powertrain warranty, but also each of these warranties feature mileage restrictions.
