Mazda offers limitless mileage warranty in Canada
Cold weather could be starting up to grab locations in Canada, even so our neighbors to the north are going to be ready to drive their 2015 Mazda cars and utilities from Vancouver to Montreal with a little more comfort. That's because Mazda Canada is instituting an unlimited mileage warranty for the new models.
Mazda Motor Corp. will provide an unlimited mileage warranty to people who buy or lease a car in Canada beginning with the 2015 model year, the automaker claimed today.
Mazda left absolutely no clear clarification the reason why the warranty extension is only applicable for the Canadian market. Kory Koreeda, president of Mazda Canada Inc, noted of the new warranty, "Mazda's aim is on long-term customer happiness. By featuring our buyers an Unlimited Mileage Warranty, we believe it is going to improve their ownership experience by relieving worries for example kilometre limitations, maintenance costs and resale price." It is challenging to argue with that logic, but why not the US market? Clearly US Mazda retailers would prefer the added service work and sales this move may bring.
“Mazda is a business that continuously challenges traditional standards to make improvements. Driving pleasure is crucial to Mazda; it’s in our DNA, and every car we make. So supplying a unique form of warranty that doesn’t stop users from enjoying their car and driving as much, or as far, as they want is the right fit.”
The unlimited mileage warranty announced today by Mazda is exceptional in the industry. Hyundai and Kia offer a standard warranty lasting five years, a period well beyond the regular, and Mitsubishi also gives a more comprehensive 10-year powertrain warranty, but also all these warranties contain mileage restrictions.
