Mazda provides limitless mileage warranty in Canada
Winter weather can be beginning to hold parts of Canada, even so our neighbors to the north will likely be ready to drive their 2015 Mazda cars and utilities from Vancouver to Montreal with a little more satisfaction. That's because Mazda Canada is instituting an unlimited mileage warranty for their new models.
Mazda Motor Corp. will offer an unlimited mileage warranty to clients who buy or lease a car in Canada beginning with the 2015 model year, the automaker stated today.
Mazda gave not a single clear explanation how come the warranty extension is just for the Canadian market. Kory Koreeda, president of Mazda Canada Inc, reported of the new warranty, "Mazda's focus is on long-term customer satisfaction. By providing our consumers an Unlimited Mileage Warranty, we think it is going to increase their ownership experience by relieving issues such as kilometre limitations, maintain costs and resale value." It is challenging to debate with that logic, but why not the US market? Surely US Mazda dealers would love the new service work and sales this move might bring.
“Mazda is a corporation that usually challenges traditional status quo to create improvements. Driving enjoyment is essential to Mazda; it’s in our DNA, and every car we make. So offering an alternate form of warranty that doesn’t cut down users from enjoying their car and driving as much, or as far, as they would want is a perfect fit.”
The unlimited mileage warranty stated today by Mazda is unique in the industry. Hyundai and Kia give a simple warranty lasting five years, a period well beyond the average, while Mitsubishi also provides a far more comprehensive 10-year powertrain warranty, but all these warranties contain mileage restrictions.
