Mazda offers infinite mileage warranty in Canada
Winter weather can be beginning to hold parts of Canada, even though our neighbors to the north will be able to drive their 2015 Mazda cars and utilities from Vancouver to Montreal with a little more satisfaction. That's because Mazda Canada is instituting an unlimited mileage warranty for their new models.
Mazda Motor Corp. can provide an unlimited mileage warranty to clients who purchase or lease a car in Canada beginning with the 2015 model year, the automaker stated today.
Mazda gave not a single clear answer why the warranty extension will only be for the Canadian market. Kory Koreeda, president of Mazda Canada Inc, mentioned of the new warranty, "Mazda's aim is on long-term customer happiness. By offering our clients an Unlimited Mileage Warranty, we think it will increase their ownership experience by reducing concerns for example kilometre limitations, fix costs and resale worth." It is tough to argue with that logic, but why not the US market? Surely US Mazda sellers would love the new service work and sales this move could bring.
“Mazda is a business that constantly challenges traditional rules to make improvements. Driving satisfaction is crucial to Mazda; it’s in our DNA, and every car we make. So giving an alternate type of warranty that doesn’t restrict buyers from enjoying their vehicle and driving as much, or as far, as they always wanted is an ideal fit.”
The unlimited mileage warranty stated today by Mazda is exceptional in the industry. Hyundai and Kia offer a basic warranty lasting five years, a period well beyond the regular, and Mitsubishi also provides a much more comprehensive 10-year powertrain warranty, however each of these warranties have mileage restrictions.
