2015 Nissan Rogue SUV Review a lot more conservative and somewhat more contemporary

The primary thing you'll spot with this current generation of Nissan Rogue is the stunning styling. Gone are the wild grille treatments, displaced by something way more conservative and much more cutting edge. The front and rear of the crossover are both more fascinating and modern, and the overall look is one that feels less economical. The interior is excellent organized and finished in appealing, higher-quality materials.

Without doubt, the Rogue might be attractive if you're excited about comfort and available space. Interior surfaces are produced from first-class materials that look and feel particularly upscale, particularly on upper trim levels. And as a bit of a rarity in the compact crossover segment, there's alternate seating for seven. The available third row is small, but generally, storage capacity is high. There are some cargo configurations, and with both rear rows folded down, the Rogue matches class leaders with 70 cubic feet of cargo space.

The 2015 Rogue is only obtainable with one engine: a 170-horsepower 2.5-liter 4-cylinder. That powerplant, in turn, only has one transmission: a continuously variable automatic. Fuel economy stands at 26 miles per gallon in the city and 33 mpg on the highway for the front-wheel-drive base model or 25 mpg city/32 mpg hwy with all-wheel drive.

Something was just a bit disappointing, however, was the driving range. With a mini gas tank, the Rogue is simply good for about 300 miles at a time. On a long road trip this turns into a major trouble, as taking pleasure in your time on the road is vital.
