2016 Cadillac CTS-V Review 640 Horsepower Priced From $84k

Cadillac publicized today that the most reliable road car in their history could go available this summer with a big base price growth on top of the old CTS-V, which normally went between $70,000. With destination price the new car may well be more than $84,000.

For $84,990, the CTS-V is purely $4995 above a base 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06. That would seem like a steal for really the same supercharged 6.2-liter V-8 (although producing 10 fewer horsepower), a performance-tuned eight-speed automatic transmission, two more doors and a back seat, and an reputable 200-mph top speed. Final fuel-economy numbers are not in yet, but we’ve recently been shared by Cadillac that it predicts the V to prevent the gas-guzzler tax that nails M5 users with a $1300 tab.

A stiffer body structure, enriched suspension components and Cadillac's adaptive dampers imply additional perfect handling and control to join the CTS-V's newfound power. Brembo brakes and bespoke Michelin high-performance tires will likely be tasked with stopping it and sticking it to the road.

And the Cadillac is a lot better prepared as compared with its rivals straight out of the box thanks to its carbon fiber hood, 19-inch wheels enclosed with Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires, 20-way adjustable front seats having heating and ventilation, camera monitoring, and suede and carbon fiber trim.

The new CTS-V is essentially two cars in one: a comfort sedan with classy road manners including a track-capable sports car with stunning performance. This type of car is exclusive, the domain of the few who is able to get into this level of unbelievable capability. V-Series matches or overtakes the finest cars in this heavy-weight class, while being more accessible.
